Review and edit a translation
Updated September 8, 2026
Read each translated text next to its source, fix it in place, retranslate what changed.
What it’s for
An AI draft deserves a read. In a language version, every section opens as a list of its texts, the source above and the translation below, so you can compare and correct without leaving the builder.
When you later edit the source page, the texts whose source changed are flagged as outdated: in the language menu, in the overview and in the section itself. Nothing is retranslated on its own.
Show a language version from the language pill, then click a section in the overview. Each text shows its source above and its translation below. A text whose source changed since carries the Outdated tag; Retranslate drafts it again.
Fix a wording right in its box: the canvas follows as you type, and the text is marked Edited by hand. An automatic update will never overwrite it without asking you.
Edited by hand: yours to keep, until you ask for a retranslation.
Good to know
- Retranslate this section redrafts every text of the section, including the ones you edited by hand: you asked for it.
- The overview carries the page cover when a hero or a cover band paints it. The social share card (title, description, image) is customized per language on the Settings step: its card carries the same language pill, and a blank field keeps the value set for the source page, or the automatic one.
- Images stay shared by default. When a visual carries text, the section's translation panel (or the page cover in the overview) lets you show a different image in that language, and go back to the source image at any time.
- A free-form page is translated as a whole: adjust its texts and images right on the canvas, in that language, the way you edit the source page. Update translations redrafts it from the current design, asking first when you edited it by hand.
- Leave a translation empty to show the source text in that language.
