Fill a hub section automatically

Updated September 23, 2026

Let an Events section list the pages that match a filter, so new ones appear on their own.

What it’s for

A hand-picked Events section shows exactly the pages you added, until you change it. An automatic one stores a filter instead: upcoming or past, a brand, a language, some tags. Every published page that matches shows up, and a page you publish later joins it with nothing to edit in the hub.

  1. Select the Events section on the canvas, then pick “Automatic” under “Events” in its settings panel.

  2. Under “Events to include”, choose “Upcoming”, “Past” or “All”.

  3. Narrow it further if you need to: a “Brand” (or “All brands”), a “Language” (“Any language”, one language, or “Same language as this page”), and “Tags”, where a page must carry every tag you select.

  4. Set “Max events”: the section shows up to that many, 30 at most. The canvas shows the matching cards as you change the filter.

Good to know

  • Only published pages are listed: an archived or draft page never appears, whatever the filter says.
  • Upcoming events are listed soonest first and past events most recent first; “All” shows the upcoming ones, then the past ones.
  • Tags are set on each page, in its Settings step. With no tag selected, the section ignores tags.
  • “Same language as this page” is meant for a hub in several languages: each language’s address lists the events written in, or translated into, that language. See “Offer your hub in several languages”.
  • Layout, card button, card colors, card details and visitor navigation work exactly as in a hand-picked section. See “Choose and organize a hub’s pages”.
  • An automatic section can be empty for now and still lets the hub publish: it fills as matching pages go live.
