Export registrants to Excel or CSV

Updated October 5, 2026

Download a page’s registrants as an Excel or CSV file: everyone or the current view, with the columns you choose.

What it’s for

To hand your registrant list to a CRM, the caterer or your sales team, “Export” turns the Registrants tab into an Excel or CSV file that holds only the columns you pick.

  1. Open the “Registrants” tab of a published page. “Export” sits with the other actions above the table.

  2. Click “Export” and choose the format: Excel (.xlsx) by default, with real dates and a frozen header row you can filter, or CSV for a CRM or another tool.

  3. Under “Registrants”, keep “All registrants”, or choose “Current view” to export only what the table shows right now: the result of your search or, on an in-person page, of an arrival filter. Each option gives its row count.

  4. Untick the columns to leave out. They come in four groups (Contact, Form, Registration and Source), and the counter says how many you keep. “Deselect all” clears every box if you would rather start from none.

  5. Click “Download N registrants”. The file goes to your browser’s downloads, named after the page and the day, for example paris-meetup_registrants_2026-10-03.xlsx.

Good to know

  • “All registrants” takes the whole page, including the rows the table has not loaded yet.
  • Registration holds the sessions each person booked (when the event has dates), the registration date and the status. On an in-person page it adds the check-in time and the origin: “Registration page” or “Added manually”. Source holds the referrer, utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign; utm_term and utm_content are not exported.
  • Venue remembers the format and the columns you unticked, for this page and in this browser. A field you add to the form later starts ticked.
  • Dates are in the time zone of the browser you export from, like the table, even when the event runs in another one. Headers, the Yes/No values and the status are in the language you use Venue in; your form’s labels stay as you wrote them.
  • The CSV separates columns with commas. With French regional settings, Excel expects semicolons and, when you double-click the file, puts each line in a single column: import it with Data > From Text/CSV instead, or choose the .xlsx.
  • A cell that starts like a spreadsheet formula (=, +, - or @) is kept as text. In the CSV it gets an apostrophe in front, and that includes answers to a phone field, which Venue stores in international format: +33612345678 arrives as '+33612345678. The Excel file keeps every value as it is.
  • People waiting for your approval or on the waiting list, and declined or failed registrations, are not in the file: none of them is on the registrant list.
  • Under the “Don’t store on Venue” retention setting, the file holds what the tab shows: anonymized rows, with the status “Anonymized”.
  • Each download is recorded in Settings → Audit log, with its row count and format.
